I really enjoyed the opportunity to chat with the incredibly knowledgeable and humble Saul Yudelowitz. Describing Saul as a musculoskeletal and nutritional expert, with a background in biomechanics, biochemistry and fluid dynamics doesn’t do him justice. He is one of those rare people who can take complex information from many sources and put the pieces of the puzzle together in a unique way that enhances our understanding of how the human system functions. This is one of the reasons why he is a consultant to professional athletes and sports-teams and is the person the “experts” go to when they can’t resolve a problem.
In today’s podcast, we talk about the important role the hormonal balance ratio plays in our health and why nutrition is critical to this ratio. Saul discusses cortisol and its effects on our whole system and how very often the strategies we use to lose weight and improve health, increases dysfunction in these systems. We then wonder why we don’t get the results we are looking for.
